Muchos sabéis que no estuve en Londres para las Olimpiadas... Cómo se me ocurre perderme una oportunidad así?? - pensaréis... Todo fue por una buena causa. Una de mis mejores amigas se casa en Octubre y le teníamos una despedida preparada en Santander. La faena es que tampoco pude ir a ésta porque ya sabéis que estuve mala la mayoría del tiempo que estuve en España, y esa semana tuve que dedicarla a trabajar... Pero bueno, las cosas surgen así y hay veces que no se puede hacer nada para evitarlo... Bueno pues, por mi cumple, mi amigo Jono me regaló un ticket para ver el Atletismo en las Paraolimpiadas. No os podéis hacer una idea de la ilusión que me hizo. Menuda experiencia!! Vimos a Oscar Pistorius batir el record Paraolímpico de 200m. El estadio vibraba entre los chillidos, silbidos y aplausos del público. La carne se te ponía de gallina y era inevitable derramar alguna que otra lagrimilla en la entrega de medallas. Si alguna vez tenéis la oportunidad de ir a unos JJOO, os lo recomiendo. Es una experiencia que por más que intentes explicar con palabras, tienes que estar ahí para vivirlo. Muchas Gracias Jono! ~ As many of you know, I wasn't in London for the Olympics... How could I have missed something like that?!! - you'll must be wondering... Well, it was all for a good cause! One of my best friends is getting married in October and we had a hen do in Santander. Shame I couldn't go in the end though as I was sick most of the time I was in Spain. Things just happen the way they do and sometimes there's nothing we can do about it. Anyway... So, for my birthday, my friend Jono gave me a ticket to go and see the Athletics at the Paralympics. You can't imagine how excited I was. It was an amazing experience!! We saw Oscar Pistorius set the world Paralympic record in 200m. The stadium was shaking with all the cheering, whistling and clapping from the crowd. The atmosphere was just amazing. I had goose bumps from the moment I got in and couldn't hold the tears at the medal ceremony. I would recommend it to anyone. As much as I'd like to explain it, no words can express that feeling... You just have to be there. Thanks Jono!
